BUG: ULS Log not displayed when stored on non-default location


I tried the tool and ran into the following bug:
  • The ULS Log List is empty
  • Should display Log entries
  • The server is configured to have its ULS Logs stored on a different drive than the system drive
  • Apparently this is not picked up because the "Active Listeners" window display the source directory for the ULS log on the "C$" system share

Same issue on our farm. We store the ULS logs on a seperate drive as well.

I agree this is an issue for production farms. I would always recommend moving the sharepoint and IIS logs off the system partition. Nothing worse than a server crashing due to the system drive filling up.
